A leading construction company located in 6th of October is looking to hire experienced professionals for the Electrical Technical Office Engineer position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Shop Drawings: Prepare high-quality shop drawings for all electrical systems, including lighting layouts, power distribution, cable trays, grounding, lightning protection, and low current systems (fire alarm, CCTV, data/telephone, access control, public address).
  • MEP Coordination & Clash Detection: Coordinate electrical systems with structural, architectural, and mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) layouts. Prepare composite coordination drawings to resolve routing conflicts before construction.
  • Electrical Calculations: Perform and review electrical engineering calculations, including voltage drop, cable sizing, short circuit calculations, panel board scheduling, and lighting design calculations.
  • Material Submittals & Technical Procurement: Prepare, review, and follow up on electrical material submittals (data sheets, compliance sheets, certificates) in accordance with project specifications for consultant approval.
  • Quantity Surveying (QS): Perform precise quantity take-offs (QTO) for all electrical materials (cables, conduits, fixtures, devices, and panel boards) to support procurement, subcontractor billing, and client progress invoices.
  • RFI & Subcontractor Support: Identify gaps, clashes, or discrepancies in design packages and draft technical Requests for Information (RFIs). Review and evaluate technical offers from electrical subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
  • Deep understanding of international and local electrical codes and standards.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and coordination skills to interface effectively with site engineers, other MEP disciplines, and consultant representatives.
