Job description:

• Maintain all Oracle databases on the cloud and apply database and application patches.
• Design and implement backup policies to ensure data protection and successful Oracle database backup/recovery procedure.
• Have a vision and make plans for any future upgrade.
• Provide suggestions for enhancing the Database performance and tuning.
• Prepare/Review and update Operations Procedures.
• Assessment of overall database performance and identifying all areas of enhancements and applying database best practice designs.
• Monitoring database tasks like storage and resources utilization. Troubleshooting all Oracle database technical problems and issues to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Ensure proper and successful Oracle database backup/recovery procedure.
• Handling all Service requests open with the software vendor (e.g., Oracle Corporation).
• Providing regular support for Oracle Application Server housekeeping and regular maintenance activities.
• Monitoring Oracle Linux tasks like storage and resources utilization. Troubleshooting all technical problems and issues.

Qualifications:

• Ability to multitask and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
• Experienced in deploying Oracle Data Guard for multiple sites.
• 4+ years of experience as Oracle and SQL server DBA and Oracle Application.
